Established as the principal public institution of higher education, the University of Chile was conceived with the explicit mission of contributing to the construction of the nation through knowledge, education, and public service. Throughout its history, it has played a decisive role in shaping Chile\u2019s intellectual life, public policies, and cultural development, positioning itself as a leading academic reference in Latin America.<\/span><\/p>\nWithin this institutional framework, the Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo (FAU) was formally established in 1944, consolidating a long-standing tradition of teaching and research in architecture, urbanism, and territorial studies. Since its creation, FAU has embodied the public vocation of the University of Chile, promoting a critical and reflective approach to the production of space, with a strong emphasis on social responsibility, equity, and the common good. Its academic project articulates teaching, research, and creation as interconnected dimensions, oriented toward understanding and transforming the built and territorial environment in response to the country\u2019s social, environmental, and cultural challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.27.5″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.5″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n FAU carries out its academic activities on the Andr\u00e9s Bello Campus, located in central Santiago, where undergraduate and postgraduate programs coexist with research centers, laboratories, and spaces dedicated to artistic and cultural production. At the undergraduate level, the faculty offers degree programs in Architecture, Design and Geography, fostering interdisciplinary perspectives that connect spatial practices with social and territorial processes. At the postgraduate level, FAU offers doctoral and master\u2019s programs, along with postgraduate diplomas, which contribute to advanced research and professional specialization in architecture, urban studies, geography, and related fields.<\/p>\n \n As part of the University of Chile\u2014an institution that serves a community of more than 40,000 students\u2014FAU plays a strategic role in the education of professionals and researchers committed to the public interest. Looking Forward, Looking Backward<\/strong><\/h3>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row column_structure=”1_2,1_2″ _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” max_width=”1300px” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” text_text_color=”rgba(255,255,255,0.85)” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n Thirty years after its founding, SIGraDi and the University of Chile invite the academic, professional, and creative communities to participate in the thirtieth international congress of the Ibero-American Society of Digital Graphics, to be held in Santiago, at the University of Chile, from November 18 to 20, 2026.<\/p>\n This new gathering marks a symbolic return to the University of Chile, which hosted SIGraDi 2006 two decades ago under the theme \u201cThe Human Factor.\u201d<\/em> On that occasion, we invited critical reflection on the role that human beings played in the emerging world of digital design. That critical gaze toward the past\u2014and toward the future\u2014returns today, more than ever, with renewed relevance in the face of the emergence of even more disruptive technologies.<\/p>\nThus, on this occasion we propose the concept of \u201cAI_ded Design,\u201d<\/strong> a notion that updates the legacy of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and projects it toward a new horizon in which design, architecture, and urbanism are redefined through algorithmic structures, intelligent environments, and autonomous systems mediated by Artificial Intelligences.<\/p>\n[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”1_2″ _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” text_text_color=”rgba(255,255,255,0.85)” global_colors_info=”{}”]<\/p>\n We invite you to think beyond computer-aided design. The goal is to disseminate the work internationally and meet the requirements for indexation. For the body of work and oral presentations, authors may use any of the SIGraDi official languages (Spanish, Portugu\u00eas or English).<\/span><\/p>\nThe Conference Paper will be blindly peer-reviewed by an International Scientific Committee, who will use the following evaluation criteria:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n\n- Concordance <\/b>with the main theme of the conference Critical Appropriations and tracks.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Originality of the topic<\/b>, research problem or project. The conference paper should contain original research that has neither been published nor submitted for publication elsewhere.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Relevance <\/b>of the contribution to the field.<\/span><\/li>\n
- Methodology <\/b>or techniques used;<\/span><\/li>\n
- Quality of references<\/b>;<\/span><\/li>\n
- General organization <\/b>of the paper according to the IMRaD structure and guidelines provided in the template.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
\u00a0<\/b><\/h5>\nUpdate your information<\/b><\/p>\n If the article or authors information has changed, it is imperative that you update the information in OpenConf (i.e. author names, institutions, submission title, email, etc.).<\/span><\/p>\nAs this is a blind review process, the Conference Paper should be anonymous and should not mention the names of the authors or the institution, nor any indication of authorship at this stage.<\/span><\/p>\nConference papers that are approved during stage 2, will have the opportunity to submit again the camera-ready article for Stage 3. The camera-ready articles will be published in the Conference Proceedings (with ISSN and ISBN), as well as on the Cumin CAD database.<\/span><\/p>\nKeep in mind that to publish your article and present your work during the SIGraDi 2026 conference, it is required to be ACCEPTED at the end of the second FULL PAPER stage.<\/span><\/p>\nAlso, please keep in mind that each author registration to the conference will allow only one attendee, one publication and one presentation.
