The National University of Cordoba, an institution on the rise

Jun 23, 2025

The 2025 edition of the Ibero-American Society for Digital Graphics (SIGraDi) Congress will take place in a setting of great symbolic and academic value: the National University of Córdoba (UNC), one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions in Latin America, currently undergoing a process of growth and internationalization.

From November 19 to 21, the city of Córdoba will host researchers, designers, artists, educators, and students from around the world, under the theme “Meta-Responsive Approaches in Architecture, Art, Design, and Sciences.” The official venue will be the Faculty of Architecture, Urbanism and Design (FAUD) of the UNC.

A Venue with Global Reach

Argentina ranked only one university among the top ten positions in the Latin American ranking. The University Impact Rankings are the only global indicators that evaluate the performance of higher education institutions based on their contribution to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.

The National University of Córdoba stood out by ranking ninth among the top ten universities in Latin America, and in a partial ranking related to reducing inequalities, Argentina stood out for gender equity. (Source: LA NACION, 2025)

Cordoba 2025: A Space for Future-Oriented Design Thinking

SIGraDi 2025 will not only be an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experiences, but also a celebration of the connections between technology, design, art, and territory. At a time when universities must rethink their roles in the face of new global challenges, UNC represents an active space for transformation, critical thinking, and the production of knowledge.

We look forward to meeting in Córdoba to once again create a conference that fosters innovation, commitment, and creativity.
