ABOUT IJAC
The International Journal of Architectural Computing (IJAC) was founded collaboratively by ACADIA, eCAADe, CAADRIA, and SIGraDi providing a valuable international forum for the dissemination of contemporary digital design research. The editorial board is composed of scholars from all four of the founding organizations with each group taking the lead role for one quarterly issue per year. Please see the latest call for papers below.
CALL DETAILS
Authors are invited to submit complete and original research papers that have not been published elsewhere and are not currently under consideration for another journal for the issue scheduled for December 2015, under the title:
DESIGN WITH FREEDOM
Design with Freedom is an invitation to reflect on freedom. Freedom understood as the possibility of overcoming the old boundaries of design from the new tools, and at the same time, the ability to create, build and share these tools in the community of creators, developers and users. In this manner, Design with Freedom is a multidisciplinary approach from the conceptual basis of design freedom and the tools that provides us. In the current context of the knowledge society, design, development and its cognition must be based on new values, capable of expanding horizons and allow renewed approaches to think, design and perform. From these values, we aim to generate new challenges and new thinking on the ways and strategies to follow in the ever changing world of design, from a cross look essentially founded on the concept of freedom. The submissions should be full-length papers (3000- 5000 words, maximum length 6000 words) complete with illustrations reporting original research or practice. The submissions must adhere to the IJAC journal template. Papers must be submitted only to the IJAC online system at:
