Postgraduate Study Program: MAS LA ETH Zurich
The Master of Advanced Studies in Landscape Architecture (MAS LA) program of ETH Zurich is oriented towards people designing at large scales in planning fields who want to perfect their skills in CAD and computer graphics.
The one-year extra-occupational program focuses on teaching the use of current modeling and visualization techniques and the optimized 3D representation of landscape. Upon completion of the course program, the participants will not only be able to use Rhino, Grasshopper, LightWave, Cinema 4D, Final Cut Pro, among others, they also know how GIS data can be used as the basis for landscape and urban design planning and visualization and how to create complex large-scale models on CNC milling machines.
The program is geared towards master graduates of a planning discipline as well as people who have been working long time in the field and want to bring their planning and analytical skills up to date with newest technological developments.
Participation is limited to 16 candidates. Registration deadline is April 30, 2012. Admittance follows an evaluation of the application dossier.
